About the role:

This role sits within the Property Management Team and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Raising and approving customer invoices on Xero accounting system
  • Authorising supplier invoices and posting to Xero
  • Dealing with customer and supplier queries
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to set up new contracts/discontinue old contracts
  • Filing of contract information
  • Monitoring email Boxes
  • Collating and sending meter reads

About the person:

As accounts assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks that are essential to maintaining an efficient running of our customers contracts. The role will be an integral part of the team working with external suppliers and customers. Therefore, we are inviting enthusiastic and commercially focused individuals who are committed to learning new skills with the appropriate experience and personal qualities to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Although previous experience in the energy industry would be an advantage, it is not essential.

We would like applicants to be able to demonstrate the skills, experience, and attributes below to be considered.

Skills required:

  • Must have strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Basic accounting skills and previous experience in an Accounts role would be desirable
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in MS Office with a strong emphasis in excel.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Good written and verbal English.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work proactively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Office based Grantham

Salary: £19,000 - £23,000 dependant on experience.
